Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an review of allegations of questionable actions involving young women.

The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
