This prompts an important query: In what way is this character sufficiently strong to raise Alastor over every other Sinner Demons?

“The agreement between Rosie and Alastor is the initial building block in a much bigger story that encompasses a great deal, leading into the third season,” the creator explains. “Obviously that is a perfect question: How is she that powerful? The answer might be various factors, but the answer is in season three. I'm very excited for people to witness it.”

Mysteries Resolved in Season 3

The creator promises that the upcoming season will tackle the questions fans have been posing, like why the cannibal leader ordered Alastor to vanish for seven years, which diminished his influence in the infernal realm.

“The entire seven-year span, and the deals these individuals are making, and all that — it's feeding into a larger story,” she reveals.

Meanwhile, the Rosie/Alastor backstory episode offers a further look into what the main characters of Demonic Sinners appeared as as mortals, following after viewing Sir Pentious’ Victorian-era human form in episode 2. She says that a lot of thought went into these character designs.

“The mortal forms of the characters hold so much weight,” she notes. “They range from looking really different from their infernal version to looking very similar. With the first character, the first one we see, there was some internal discussion internally between choosing a design that symbolizes the personality, versus selecting an option that's historically correct. We leaned toward making a design that just felt like it was him.”

She mentions the primary controversy over the mortal look of Pentious was his long hair: “We were like, ‘Nobody really had extended hair of that style in Victorian-era London.’ But simultaneously, we think the outline is so important, and we also just felt he appeared attractive. We were like, ‘This seems correct.’ We sort of provided the rationale that he's a hermit, so he just let his hair grow out. So there is always a solution. As we create the human versions of these characters […] it is a very enjoyable process to investigate and figure out. I'm excited for people to view additional of the appearances of the human versions.”
